Founded in 2007, HCT Academy initially specialized in simulation training for undergraduate nurses. However, in response to industry challenges in 2010, we diversified our offerings to include a comprehensive range of accredited programs, ensuring holistic education for healthcare professionals.

• UbiSim Partners with HCT to Meet Global Demand for Skilled Nurses
  As the global healthcare system faces an escalating demand for skilled nurses, UbiSim, the leading virtual reality (VR) simulation platform for nurses, and its parent company Labster, are poised to advance nursing education in the Philippines, a leader in preparing future nurses to address the skilled nursing shortage locally and globally. Today, the company announced a three-year partnership with the Healthcare Technology Institute (HCT), the Philippines' largest skills training center.

• 2007:
  Healthcare Advantage Institute Inc. (HCAI) was created under the idea that nurses in the Philippines need help resolving the persisting disconnect between the academe and the industry. Dr. Lester Suntay was sent out to the United States for training in the Joint Commission International (JCI) Standards for nurses.
• 2008:
  The business started booming, Signed 4 clients to SimLab partnerships (West Negros University, St. Paul University of the Philippines, University of San Agustin, University of Pangasinan).
• 2010:
  Demands for our training programs dwindled down, and we had to pivot. HCAI started to diversify.
• 2012-2014:
  HCAI collaborated with Dr. Vicente De Lima from the American Heart Association to help train our educators and instructors. Furthermore, it earned its TESDA Accreditation,. EMT and safety training became the highlight. HCAI earns additional accreditations: DOLE and PRC.

• 2020: "HCT Academy succeeded in curriculum launch, accreditation, student enrollment surge, campus expansion, award winning faculty hire, online education platform debut, and global academic partnerships establishment."
  HCAI's rebranding to HCT marks a transformation, incorporating technology in our educational avenues to elevate training in nursing, medicine, and other health-related disciplines. Despite the global pandemic, we introduced our E-Learning Courses. That coupled with our COVID testing services not only kept us afloat but generated revenue throughout a challenging time.
• 2023:
  Incorporating technological advancements, equipment upgrades, and adherence to academic benchmarks and international safety standards such as Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) Standards of Best Practice (SOBP) HCT has opened its new SimLab at Shaw Boulevard, Kapitolyo, Pasig City.
• 2024:
  HCT is undergoing the accreditation process for the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM). HCT is also actively engaged in education nursing undergraduates and healthcare professionals, equipping them with the skills and global readiness through our accredications.
• 2025:
  In partnership with UbiSim, HCT expands it capabilities in healthcare with virtual reality. HCT can now provide students and educators quality education for safer patient care using high-fidelity simulation. HCT is committed to further advancing and training the college of nursing and the college of medicine, shortening the gap between academe and industry.

• New Partnership with UbiSim
  VR Simulation Training for nursing students and professionals, improving clinical decision-making, patient interaction, and emergency response. Enhanced real-world patient care simulations through immersive learning experiences.

• Setup and Creation of NLE Review
  Fully integrated training for fresh graduate nursing students, improving the passing rate of the National Licensure Exam · Creating a new way of Reviewing for students to include not only test banks and lectures but putting the theory together with practice in order to enhance retained learning of skills and the reasoning behind the actions that they perform.

• Intensive Care Unit
  ICUs offer specialized treatment and assistance to patients during periods of severe illness or injury. The objective of ICU care is to stabilize patients, improve their condition, and assist them in transitioning to lower levels of care or rehabilitation as they recover.
• Operating Room
  The operating room (OR) is a designated area within a hospital or surgical center where medical procedures are performed on patients. It is carefully planned and maintained to control environmental variables, striving to establish optimal surgical conditions while reducing the risk of infection and other complications.
• Delivery Room
  Referred to as a labor and delivery suite or birthing suite, it is a specialized section within a hospital or birthing center where expectant mothers deliver their babies under the supervision of healthcare providers. HCT also covers natal care after birthing.
